Natural Computing Series. com Abstract. In this paper, we investigate to use the L1/2 regularization method for variable selection based on the Cox’s proportional hazards model. The L1/2 regularization method is a reweighed iterative algorithm with the adaptively weighted L1 penalty on regression coefficients. The algorithm of the L1/2 regularization method can be easily obtained by a series of L1 penalties. Simulation results based on standard artificial data show that the L1/2 regularization method can be more accurate for variable selection than Lasso and adaptive Lasso methods.

The GWT eliminates the complexity of hand coding HTML, JavaScript, and other elements that bind the JavaScript actions triggered in an HTML page (client-side code run within the user's browser) to the controlling layer executing within the Java EE application server (server-side, where the database resides). When developed within a good IDE, the GWT can provide an immeasurable advantage over other frameworks and considerably lower the cost and complexity of the project. BDJE [5] is an embeddable database implemented in pure Java.
